As job opportunities become available, ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ and subsidiary hiring managers and recruiters will review participants in the Talent Bank whose experience and interests match the job opening and contact them to apply.

Our team can work with Shareholders, Descendants and their spouses to develop a resume that highlights their skills and experience. Whether you are starting from scratch or refining an existing resume, our Shareholder Development team is here to guide you every step of the way.

¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ annually offers a , providing ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ Shareholders and Descendants with hands-on work experience that aligns with their academic journey. This program is an opportunity to gain valuable professional skills while contributing to the corporation’s mission.

Through the , ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ Shareholders and Descendants pursuing college degrees or vocational training are eligible to apply for scholarships that can be used for tuition, books, and fees. Scholarships can be applied to full-time or part-time course loads, and for students attending an accredited college or vocational school.

To increase Alaskan hire in the maritime industry while honoring the subsistence needs of the Alaskan lifestyle, our multi-employer, three-tiered Maritime Apprenticeship Program offers apprenticeships in:

+ Deck hand

+ Engine room

+ Galley/Kitchen

With tracks for both Traditional and Subsistence lifestyles, apprentices can tailor their schedules to meet the subsistence needs of the Alaskan lifestyle while growing in their maritime careers. Apprentices will earn certifications and gain sea time as they advance through the tiers.

The YK Workforce Development Group aims to boost local hiring in the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ Region. Through quarterly meetings in Anchorage, Bethel and online, the group connects opportunities, vocational training and jobs to Shareholders and Tribal members.
