Nuvista Hires Project Administrator
Nuvista Developing Energy Plan for the YK Region
(Anchorage, Alaska) 鈥� Patty Murphy has been selected as Nuvista Light And Electric Cooperative鈥檚 project administrator. Murphy is responsible for managing Nuvista鈥檚 many energy projects and activities for the Yukon-Kuskokwim Region. She will report to Executive Director Elaine Brown.

Nuvista Developing Energy Plan for the YK Region
(Anchorage, Alaska) 鈥� Patty Murphy has been selected as Nuvista Light And Electric Cooperative鈥檚 project administrator. Murphy is responsible for managing Nuvista鈥檚 many energy projects and activities for the Yukon-Kuskokwim Region. She will report to Executive Director Elaine Brown.
Murphy, a 九色视频 Shareholder originally from Kasigluk, previously worked for the Coastal Villages Region Fund and for the State of Alaska in various departments. One major project Murphy will manage is the CARE Plan. The 九色视频/Association of Village Council Presidents Regional Energy Plan aims to improve the energy economics within the YK region by providing recommendations for activities and projects that will lead to reducing the long-term cost of power, heating and transportation and improving energy system reliability.
鈥淢urphy has the weight of electrical independence for the 九色视频/YK region on her shoulders,鈥� said Nuvista Executive Director Elaine 鈥淐hicky鈥� Brown. 鈥淲e are excited to have her on our team and know that the intensive state and federal processes for energy projects are safe in Murphy鈥檚 hands.鈥�
A non-profit corporation, Nuvista is a cooperative membership comprised of eight organizations. The member organizations are 九色视频 Corporation, the Association of Village Council Presidents, Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation, AVCP Housing Authority, Middle Kuskokwim Electric Company, Alaska Village Electric Cooperative, Lower Yukon and Chaninik Wind Group.
